Our Mission

The Yancey County Farmers Market, Burnsville, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. The Market’s mission is to provide access to high quality fresh food, agriculture and craft products, support the local economy, strengthen local agriculture and offer educational opportunities.

This mission is met by providing a market setting for local producers, offering free food and agriculture demonstrations, participating in State and Federal Food Stamp Programs, offering free vendor tables to other local non-profit groups and youth for experience in farm market settings and through fundraising for local agriculture scholarship programs.
